Living the way of Jesus is an invitation to use the gifts, talents and resources we have to serve Him and one another. At CTW, we live open-handed with our entire lives, including our time. Serving is the natural outworking of the Holy Spirit living in us and it makes us look most like Jesus. We have places to serve on Sundays during church services, during the weekly ministries, and in our community.  We would love to invite you to join us as we serve His Church and His people and the community around us.

Serve in the community

Help put the love of Jesus on display for the world to see.

Throughout the year, we have multiple opportunities to serve our community. We do not want anyone to feel limited to serving the community only within the organization and programs the church supports. If God calls you to be involved in something, do it! Do not wait on permission to do good and love people in the name of Jesus. We will have organized opportunities to serve the community, and you can find those by clicking the link below or heading to the events page.

How do I serve with kids?

Easy! Simply fill out the serve form below, along with a background check and we will get you connected. Lindsey, our kids director will be in touch with all necessary steps and to shadow to see where you fit best!

How do I serve with worship and tech?

Easy! Simply fill out the form below and Maggie, our worship director will connect with you about next steps. We have multiple places to serve on the Worship team beyond being on stage. 

How do I serve with students?

Easy! Simply fill out the form below and we will get you connected with either our  Middle School Student Team or our Sunday Night Youth Group team.

City Serve

On June 2, we will host the largest one-day serve opportunity we have ever had at Church of The Way, City Serve. While CTW is located on Grosse Ile, we are a church FOR Downriver. We want to ensure the entire Downriver Community experiences the love of Jesus and is exposed to His truth so they can be invited to live His way of life.
