Baptism

Baptism at Church of The Way is a celebration like no other. When a person fully surrenders their lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we provide an opportunity for them to take a step of obedience and make their faith public. Baptism is the public declaration that a person identifies as a follower of Jesus. To be baptized is to live the way of Jesus. At CTW, we baptize by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit everyone who confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior. While we do not baptize babies, we do believe that a young child that has the ability to understand their sin, their need for a savior and that Jesus' death burial and resurrection  provide their forgiveness and redemption, they can take the next step to be baptized.

The Wayfinders Children  ministry exists to help children live the way of Jesus. We are constantly introducing our kids to Jesus, who He is, and what He did for us on the cross.  Because of their exposure to the truth of Jesus, many kids have or are ready to surrender their hearts to Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Once a child  accepts and surrenders to Jesus as Lord and Savior, the next step in their faith journey is to get baptized. If your child is ready to take that next step, we want to  support that decision. If you have just recently surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior or you have grown up in the church but have never owned your faith by making it public, then getting baptized is the step you need to take.
