Small Groups

Living The Way of Jesus Together

Why Small Groups?

Small Groups at CTW are the space to be seen, known, and loved by one another. Our groups have one primary focus: community.  We desire every person who calls CTW home to be in a relationship with one another to support, encourage, and challenge one another to live the way of Jesus. We all need a person or group of people who we can count on no matter what we go through in life. Small groups provide us the space to develop the depth of relationships that will transform our lives.

The Table

CTW Small Groups have a primary focus on community, and the example set in Scripture is sharing a table with someone. Our groups will build community with one another as they share a meal together.  Each gathering will provide the group the opportunity to connect about life and Jesus as they share a meal together.

Prayer

With the focus on community, small groups will focus much of their time together in prayer with one another and for one another. To invite others into your life to pray for you, support, and encourage you builds a bond that goes deeper than the casual "good to see you" connection you have on Sunday mornings.

Encouragement

With the sharing of a table and the openness of prayer, you will find the encouragement you need to keep living the way of Jesus. Developing the relationships necessary to spur you toward Jesus when life is hard and roadblocks keep popping up is essential. You need a cheerleader or group of cheerleaders, which is the sign of a healthy group!

Small Group Registration

If you are looking to sign up for a group, please click the link below to provide important information to help get you connected. Once the form has been completed, we will work to find a group that meets as many of your requested criteria as possible. While we have groups all over the DownRiver community, we work to place you with a group close to home that meets your stage of life and fits within your schedule. You will receive contact from the church; then the group leader will invite you into their home. If you have any questions or are looking for a specific type of group, you can email us at info@ctwmi.com

Small Group Leader Form

Small Groups in any environment are won and lost by the leader who leads them. The good news about Small Groups at CTW is you do not have to be a theologian, pass a Bible test, or provide 10 years of church attendance records to lead a group. Small Group Leaders are people who love Jesus, love people and are deeply committed to living His way.
If you would be interested in leading a small group or opening up your home for others to sit around the table and pray for one another, please fill out the form below. We will connect with you about all the other details, answer any questions you may have, and offer the necessary training to lead a healthy small group.
