The New Location at a Glance
With the limitations we have on the current facility, God has provided an opportunity to relocate to a facility that would allow us to continue to help people live the way of Jesus. The new facility is the old St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Trenton, located at 2901 Manning Street.
Timeline
Summer 2025- We placed an offer on the property at 2901 Manning St., Trenton, MI
September 2025- We accept the Archdiocese of Detroit's counteroffer.
October 2025- We announce to the church that we will be potentially relocating to 2901 Manning St.
November 2025- We are officially under contract, and initial inspections of the building are underway.

FAQ
What is the timeline for moving?
The timeline is unknown. Once the purchase agreement is finalized, we will have 120 days to do our due diligence to ensure there is no catastrophic issues with the building. Once the inspections are done, we will secure funding and close on the building. The major unknown will be how long the remodel process will take.
What is the plan with our current building?
We are trusting God with the answer to this question. We want to leverage the building on Grosse Ile to help us hit our goal of being debt-free in three years, while at the same time, trusting the Lord to lead the way.
What will be the cost and debt the church will take on?
The purchase price of the building is $1,150,000. The debt the church will take on is currently unknown. Once the inspections are complete and the plans for remodeling take shape, we will have a better estimate of the total cost.
How can we be involved?
The best way for anyone to be involved right now is through prayer. We need God's wisdom and discernment to navigate the ongoing inspections, financial needs, and the timeline of the move.
How can we give toward the new building?
All giving at Church of The Way goes to the overall purpose of helping people live the way of Jesus. Any generosity received will go to the current and future ministry. You can give by donating to Church of The Way online or on Sundays.
Will we be able to help once we own the building?
Yes! Once we have finalized the purchase and hired the necessary contractors, we will put a plan together so that individuals and families can come help make the new facility a home!
