Lent Devotional

Lent is the time in the calendar set aside to fast or submit ourselves more fully to the way of Jesus as we prepare our hearts, minds, and lives for His death, burial, and resurrection. The tradition of Lent spoke to the intentional sacrifice of Christ, who willingly laid down his life for the sake of humanity. As people who are committed to living His way, Lent provides us with a purposeful time in our lives to sacrifice on Christ’s behalf.
As a church family, we invite you to intentionally take this Lenten season to focus on Christ and the sacrifice of His life for the glory of the Father and for you. As committed followers of Jesus, our lives will be forever marked by our redemption in Christ. This redemption in Christ leads us to live a very different way of life, the Jesus way.
Over the next 46 days leading up to Resurrection Sunday, we challenge you to embody the way of Jesus by living in and living out the “one another’s” of Scripture. Each week, you will be challenged to expose yourself to the Scripture and spend time asking the Holy Spirit to teach you, change you, and lead you into living out God’s truth.
